The brief
A new stage of a residential estate needed its streets planted and watered before the first homes were occupied. It then had to be kept alive until council took the streets over brief.
What we built
We planted street trees and verge and median beds to the landscape plan, with drip irrigation to every bed and tree quantities. Beds are hydrozoned, so trees and low planting run on separate valves. A 2-wire controller runs the stage, with a flow sensor that shuts a zone down if a line is broken controller.
The detail that mattered
Builders' damage. With houses going up on every lot, drip lines get cut and young trees get backed into. We inspected the stage every week during establishment and replaced losses ahead of council's handover inspection inspection frequency.
